Hi folks!
First of all I want to thank all the folks who keep on faving and commenting on my works for their continuous support.
Although I am unable to thank each one of you personally, since it would take me ages to do that, I'm still very very thankful, and appreciate every single fave and comment from you, guys. I think I better thank all of you in my journal (hope, you read those sometimes
) and create some more fractals instead.
Now come the rant. I am tired of my technical problems. First it was my monitor, that started turning itself off and back on again, and finally died on me some time ago. Now I'm stuck with the bloody ancient CRT, which is horribly big and ugly and it doesn's convey true colours. So, I have no idea how my fractals look in reality. I hope they are ok colour- and contrast-wise. My screen is a bit hazy, so...
Now for the next problem. Some time ago my PC started whirring and buzzing at startup, then the noise was subsiding. I was sure it was one of the fans. So, I vacuumed the insides and the noise was gone for a while. Now it came back with a vengeance. The bloody exhaust fan is now as noisy as a lorry.
The whole case is vibrating, while the CPU core temperature doesn't drop below 45C even at minimum power, while it was around 31C before. When I start rendering the fractal, the temperature rises to about 58C, which is very unusual even at full power. I'm afraid I may fry not only the CPU, but also the PSU, since the exhaust doesn't work properly. So, I had to order a new fan today. Thought I would buy one of the more expensive ones with a fluid dynamic bearing, to make sure it lasts... Here... Done, I feel better now
Meanwhile I will not be making any fractals to make sure I will not fry the PC. I will be using my laptop instead. So, no fractals, I'm afraid, until the new fan arrives. But I will still be here with you, guys, replying and commenting...
